Cold Weather Cocktails

One of our favorite ways to enjoy Arctic Roots Semi-Sweet Alaska Cider in the colder months is to heat it up! Here are some of the most delicious hot and cold cocktails you can make this winter with Arctic Roots Semi-Sweet Alaska Cider.

Manzana Mimosoa

• 1.5 oz rum.5 oz lemon juice
• 4 oz Arctic Roots Semi-Sweet Alaska Cider
• Apple slice (garnish)

Add ice, rum and lemon juice to a cocktail shaker. Shake until thoroughly chilled and pour over ice in an Old Fashioned glass. Add Arctic Roots Alaska Semi-Sweet Cider and stir until combined. Garnish with an apple slice.

Alaska Cider Rum Smash

• 3 oz Arctic Roots Semi-Sweet Alaska Cider
• 3 oz champagne
• Cinnamon sugar for rim (optional)
• Apple slice (garnish)

Dunk rim of champagne flute in water then dip into cinnamon sugar mixture. Add 3 oz champagne and 3 oz Arctic Roots Semi-Sweet Alaska Cider. Garnish with an apple slice.    

Mulled Alaska Apple Hot Cider

• 4 16oz cans Arctic Roots Semi-Sweet Alaska Cider
• 1 orange, thinly sliced
• 1 apple, thinly sliced
• 2 whole allspice berries
• 2 cinnamon sticks
• 2 whole cloves

Add ice, rum and lemon juice to a cocktail shaker. Shake until thoroughly chilled and pour over ice in an Old Fashioned glass. Add Arctic Roots Alaska Semi-Sweet Cider and stir until combined. Garnish with an apple slice.  

Tundra Toddy

• 8 oz Arctic Roots Semi-Sweet Alaska Cider
• 2 oz whiskey
• 1 teaspoon honey
• Apple slice (garnish)
• 3 cloves (garnish)
• Cinnamon stick (garnish)

Warm Arctic Roots Semi-Sweet Alaska Cider in small saucepan and heat gently until warm (do not boil). In a mug combine 2 oz whiskey and 1 teaspoon honey. Pour warmed Arctic Roots Semi Sweet Alaska Cider into mug, stirring to dissolve honey. Insert cloves into apple slice. Garnish with apple slice and cinnamon stick. 

White Chocolate Whiteout

• 1 16oz can Arctic Roots Semi-Sweet Alaska Cider
• 1 tsp vanilla extrac
• ¾ cup heavy whipping cream
• 2 oz chopped white chocolate Whipped cream (garnish)
• Cinnamon (garnish)
• Apple slice (garnish)
• 1 cinnamon stick (garnish)

Pour can of Arctic Roots Semi Sweet Alaska Cider into small saucepan and heat gently until warm (do not boil). Stir in heavy whipping cream, vanilla and white chocolate, stirring until chocolate is melted. Pour in mugs, top with whipped cream and cinnamon, then garnish with an apple slice and a cinnamon stick.

Winter Cockteal

• 2 oz Bourbon
• 1oz Steeped Cinnamon Plum Herbal Tea
• 1 oz Arctic Roots Cider
• .5 oz Fresh Lemon Juice
• .25 oz Simple Syrup
• 2 dashes Orange Bitters Garnish, Butterscotch Creme Sugar, for rimming Garnish, thinly slice apple wedge

Preparation: Heat filtered water to 200°F. Steep Cinnamon Plum Herbal Tea for 5 minutes. Strain. Let cool and chill tea in refrigerator. Measure out 4 ounces of steeped tea and set aside. Makes 1 cocktail. Add all remaining ingredients and steeped tea to a cocktail shaker filled with ice and shake well. Strain and serve in a chilled coupe glass with a Butterscotch Creme Sugar rimmer. Garnish with a fresh apple slice.
